Kindle Fire 4G tabs get watchdog's okay



San Francisco: Amazon.com company received from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission approved the sale of its high-end the Kindle Fire4G Tablet PC, a company spokesman said Wednesday.



Amazon last month launched a new tablet, but the device does not have to get FCC clearance. The company had to promote products on Web pages and e-mail disclaimer.



FCC approval is required for wireless communication equipment, to ensure that they are operating safety and improper interference with other signals.



The new gadget is important, Amazon is the world's largest retailer is trying to compete with Apple, the booming tablet PCs market a share.



Amazon has put forward a cheap 7-inch Kindle Fire last year, but the most expensive models in the large-scale and new version sports 4G LTE wireless connection.



Last month, lawyers and analysts said, FCC familiar with FCC compliance program is unlikely to turn down the Amazon device held out his hand, and the last ship date or to extend the approval process.



But, they say, the company announced a major new product, not from the agency's logo, which is unusual.



Amazon undergoing pre-orders, and launched on November 20 plan 4G devices. The company spokesman said last month, Amazon is expected to receive FCC approval on November 20. (Reuters)
